My name is Karen Alsup. I grew up outdoors— hiking and exploring, riding horses, and spending hours in the garden—and those experiences shaped the way I see and move through the world. They gave me a love for the rhythms of nature, the presence of living things, and the quiet moments that can easily go unnoticed.

My art grows from that history. Whether I’m painting from nature or animals, I’m drawn to their beauty, strength, and sensitivity. I hope my work offers a little pause—a chance to notice small delights, feel the majesty of a horse, or simply reconnect with the gentle presence of the natural world. And for anyone who already knows these worlds, I hope it brings memories and moments of connection to mind.
